School Comfort Room - Adequate toilets and washbasins are necessary to help reduce the risk of common illnesses, such as diarrhea and even cold and flu infections. These take a toll on the health of young children, particularly if they are undernourished. Due to inadequate comfort rooms, students are forced use toilets that are grossly unsanitary. The project will provide a decent comfort room to Lerma Elementary School and Kaunlaran Elementary School with a toilet to pupil ratio of 1:750 and 1:1000 respectively. To provide a safe and healthy learning environment includes providing a adequate toilet and handwashing facilities. Total project cost is US$13,265.30. |

HELP STUDENTS GO TO SCHOOL Kalookan North W05274 Provide 100 students in the Philippines with de-worming medicine, nutritious meals and school supplies. The local club is dedicated to supporting students from the San Jose Elementary School with a supplemental feeding program that will allow students to focus on their studies rather than their stomachs. COMMUNITY PLAYGROUND Kalookan North W05285 Construct a playground for impoverished children in the Philippines. In Caloocan City, there are no parks or playground facilities in the area, and currently, the children play along the railroad tracks of the town. The local club would like to address the problem by constructing a safe childrens playground where kids may enjoy themselves and parents will have peace of mind. The local Rotaract club, RCC, and teachers are dedicated to providing maintenance and upkeep. Resources required: US$6,000 total. COMPUTER LABORATORY Kalookan North W05398 Students of Maypajo High School in Caloocan City, a poor area of Manila, will greatly benefit from a computer lab. Its equipment and Internet access will equip them with technological skills and enable them to work on more complex and creative research assignments. The Parents Teachers Association (PTA) and Rotaract Club of Kalookan North will maintain the lab and teach computer literacy courses. In addition, the high school will form a new Interact club, which will work with Rotaract and the Rotary Club of Kalookan North. Resources Required US$11,000 total. Barangay Emergency Vehicles The purpose of the project is to provided First Responder Vehicles to barangays (village) in Caloocan City for quick response during emergencies. The project will include the following: (a) Barangay Mini Firetruck designed to be stationed in the barangay (where narrow streets are common) for quick response to fire emergency situation. This is capable of spraying 600 liters of water with spray distance of 30 to 40 meters powered by 6.5 HP hi pressure pump. It is also equipped with regular fire truck accessories such as ladder, ax, light blinker and horn, megaphone, fire hose, rechargeable light and a standard 1.5 inch fire hose. (b) Barangay Ambulance Patrol can be used as a patrol vehicle as well as a ambulance to carry patients to and from the hospital. It is equipped with a blinker, horn, microphone and other equipments like medicine, oxygen tank, automatic blood pressure reader and nebulizer. Total project cost is US$10,570.00. |

Health and Day Care Center Equipments The project will provide the different medical and dental equipments to a barangay health center and school supplies and equipments to a barangay day care center. Barangay health center delivers basic health-care needs to its constituents, while the day care center provide early child education. Total project cost is US$2,450.00 per barangay. (can be converted to matching grant project with at least 5 barangay beneficiaries). |

Rotary Scholarships The project will give scholarship for college to low income students for 4 yrs at University of Caloocan City. Cost of scholarship per student is US$575.00. The club has a scholarship committee that handles the regular monitoring of the students. This is a ongoing project of the club wherein we want to raise more funds to help more deserving students. |

School Supplies and Uniform Donations - The project will distribute school supplies and uniform to grade one students from public elementary schools in Caloocan City. Cost of project per 100 students is US$2,040.00. (can be converted to matching grant project with at least 550 beneficiaries). |

Cataract/Cross-Eyed Operation - The project will help patients who cant afford the surgery. Cost of operation per patient is US$204.00. Number of patients depends on the budget. |

Potable Water for Public Schools - The project aims to provide safe and potable water to public elementary schools in Caloocan City. Installation of the fountains will help prevent students from getting diarrhea, amoebiasis, and other waterborne diseases. This project will help our less privilege public schools students/teachers/staff to have good and healthier body and mind, maintain proper hygiene and a better future. The project will include the installation of water fountains in complete with filters, pumps, storage tanks and replacements. Cost of project is US$2,650.00 per school. |
